What is Couple?

Couple is a modern dating service designed to help you find real, meaningful connections. Our primary offering is an advanced AI Matchmaker that learns your personality, values, and romantic preferences to connect you with highly compatible individuals. We also host fun online singles mixers (our Couple Online Events) which are a great way to meet people and provide more learning opportunities for your AI Matchmaker.

How does the AI Matchmaker work?

Your AI Matchmaker gets to know you through a few key ways:

• Initial Onboarding: When you sign up, you'll answer a series of questions about your personality, preferences, lifestyle, and what you're looking for in a partner. This helps us understand your unique "romantic chemistry."
• Learning from Interactions: As you participate in our Couple Online Events, your AI Matchmaker learns from your interactions – how you rate others, how others rate you, what you say, and elements of your expression and communication style.
• Feedback on Matches: Your interactions with the matches suggested by the AI also help refine its understanding. For example, when you review matches on your AI Matches page, your decisions about who you'd like to connect with directly inform and improve future suggestions. The more the AI Matchmaker learns, the better it becomes at finding truly compatible matches for you.

What are the different ways to get started with Couple?

When you sign up, you can choose from a few options:

• AI Matchmaker Plan: This premium option gives you a dedicated AI Matchmaker that actively works to understand your preferences and sends you curated, highly compatible matches. It includes unlimited access to our Couple Online Events for the duration of your plan (currently $99.99 for 3 months). This plan also comes with 2,000 Couple Coins per month.
• Matchmaker Pool Plan: With this option, you'll be included in the pool of potential matches for our AI Matchmaker subscribers. Your AI Matchmaker isn't proactively searching for you, but you may be presented as a compatible match to others. This plan also includes unlimited access to our Couple Online Events for the duration of your plan (currently $34.99 for 3 months).
• Event Ticket: If you're primarily interested in attending one of our Couple Online Events without the ongoing AI matchmaking service, you can purchase a ticket for a specific event. These are all one-time payments for a set period; we do not automatically renew your plan.

What kind of data does the AI Matchmaker collect? Is my personal information safe?

Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. Couple is designed to keep your personal information 100% safe. The AI Matchmaker collects data about your real-time behavior on our platform, including your interactions (clicks, ratings, etc.). With your explicit consent, it also analyzes audio and video from your speed dates during events to understand communication styles and help generate your detailed compatibility profile (our way of mapping out what makes you click with someone). This information is used solely to improve your match quality and experience on Couple.

How do I sign up and start my Couple journey?

Simply click the "MATCH ME" button on our homepage! You'll be guided through creating your account, validating your phone number, choosing your preferred Couple plan (AI Matchmaker, Matchmaker Pool, or an event ticket), and then answering our insightful questions to help your AI Matchmaker begin to understand your romantic chemistry. After that, you can explore matches or register for an upcoming Couple Online Event.

Your Matches & The "Activity" Section

What happens when the AI Matchmaker finds a match for me?

When your AI Matchmaker identifies a highly compatible match (for users with the AI Matchmaker plan):

• You'll receive a personalized text message letting you know.
• You can click a link in the message to view a detailed profile of your match, including their bio, pictures, interests, and an in-depth explanation from the AI on why you're a good match.
• If you're interested, you can request to connect with them directly from their profile page.

How does the AI Matchmaker help me connect with my matches?

Once you and an AI-suggested match both express interest, your AI Matchmaker can proactively help arrange for you to meet at an upcoming Couple Online Event. It also provides tailored conversation starter suggestions to help you break the ice and foster a meaningful connection when you chat with them on our platform.

Where do I see my matches and interactions?

The "Activity" section in your Couple account is your central hub for managing connections:

• AI Matches Page: Here you'll find all the matches curated and delivered by your AI Matchmaker. You can review their profiles, indicate your interest, and initiate chats.
• Invites Page: If you're in the Matchmaker Pool, this page shows you invites from AI Matchmaker subscribers who have been matched with you and are interested in connecting.
• Event Matches Page: This is where you can see and contact all the mutual matches you've made during previous Couple Online Events.
• Dashboard Page: This page offers analytics and insights from your AI Matchmaker and your activity at events, helping you understand more about your dating journey.

Can I view or contact users outside of events?

Yes! You can view profiles and initiate text chats on the Couple platform with:

• Matches delivered to you by the AI Matchmaker (viewable in the "AI Matches" section under "Activity").
• Mutual matches you made during Couple Online Events (viewable in the "Event Matches" section under "Activity").

Can I give feedback on the matches the AI Matchmaker suggests?

Yes, your feedback is valuable and happens naturally! How you interact with suggested matches on your "AI Matches" page – such as choosing to connect or not – directly helps the AI Matchmaker learn and refine its search for you.

Does Couple guarantee a match?

While our AI Matchmaker is designed to significantly increase your chances of finding meaningful connections, and many of our users find matches, we cannot guarantee a specific number of matches or a successful romantic relationship. Our commitment is to provide you with high-quality, compatible suggestions and fun opportunities to connect. The more you engage with the platform and our online events, the better the AI can learn and assist you.

What if I'm not interested in a match suggested by the AI?

That's perfectly okay! Attraction and connection are complex. If an AI-suggested match doesn't feel right, you are under no obligation to connect. Your choices on the "AI Matches" page simply help the AI Matchmaker refine its understanding of your preferences for future suggestions.

Couple Online Events (Mixers)

What are Couple Online Events (Mixers)?

Our Couple Online Events are fun, interactive virtual parties for singles! They typically feature:

• Lively mingle rooms MCed by our engaging hosts.
• Dedicated rooms for games, specific topics, and even live performances.
• Curated speed dates where you can meet people one-on-one.
• An after-party where you can continue conversations and games. They're a fantastic way to meet new people in a relaxed setting and give your AI Matchmaker more insight into your interaction style.

How do I join a Couple Online Event?

If your AI Matchmaker or Matchmaker Pool plan is active, you have unlimited access to events. You can register for upcoming events through your Couple account. For those just wanting to try an event, you can purchase an event ticket. We'll email and text you an event link approximately 45 minutes before the party is due to start. You can also sign in to your account during the party, and the event link will automatically appear on the homepage.

Are online events included with AI Matchmaker plans?

Yes, both the "AI Matchmaker" plan and the "Matchmaker Pool" plan include unlimited access to our Couple Online Events for the duration of your active plan.

What can I expect when I log in to an event?

When you first log in, you'll find yourself in one of our mingle rooms. Before dating rounds start, you can explore different rooms (mingle, games, topic rooms, performance rooms) by clicking on them. An event countdown timer will always show you where you are in the event (e.g., which dating round is active) so you know what to expect.

What happens during a Couple speed date at an event?

During a speed date, you'll have a private, three-to-four-minute video conversation with a matched individual. At the end of your date, you'll be prompted to:

• Consent to video use: If you agree, Couple may create a highlight video of entertaining event moments.
• Send a virtual gift: You can use Couple Coins to send a fun, animated gift to your date.
• Teach your AI Matchmaker: Answer a few quick questions about your date to help the AI better understand your preferences.
• Make Your Couple Call: Decide if you'd like to "Couple" (date again), "Connect" (friendship), or "Cut" (pass).
• Request More Time: If you're enjoying the conversation, you can request "Double Time." If your date agrees, you'll get a second speed date later in the event. After the event, you can view and contact your mutual "Couple Calls" via the "Event Matches" section under "Activity."

Can I request a date with someone specific during an event?

Yes! If someone catches your eye in a mingle room or during event activities, you can use Couple Coins to request a private speed date with them. Simply click on their video or search for their user profile to open the menu and select the "request date" option.

Can I attend an event just for the social experience, without speed dating?

Absolutely! If you want to skip a round of dating or remain in the mingle rooms for the whole event, simply use the toggle at the top of the screen on your computer (or in the "more" menu if attending on your phone) to turn off your dating availability. Many people enjoy our events for the community, live performances, and games!

What should I wear to a Couple event?

Be you and be comfortable! While there's no need for formal attire, a neat appearance, a tidy background, and a positive attitude make a great first impression and show respect for yourself and your dates. Can I attend a Couple event on my phone?

Yes! Couple is mobile-friendly, so you can join events from your smartphone.

What is the after-party?

When the structured dating rounds are over, the fun doesn't have to stop! Our mingle rooms stay open all night for the Couple after-party. You can continue conversations, play games, and flirt with fellow singles.

What if I don't like one of my dates during an event?

We encourage you to be kind and stick out the short speed date unless your date is violating our Rules of Engagement. Your "Cut" call at the end will ensure you aren't paired with them again. However, if a date is violating our rules or there are major technical issues, you can choose to end the date early. You'll be prompted for feedback so we can address the issue.

Account, Coins & Technical

How do I log in to my Couple account or an event?

To log into your Couple account, visit our website and use your credentials. For Couple Online Events, if you're registered, we'll email and text you an event link about 45 minutes before the start. Alternatively, logging into your Couple account during an active event will show the event link on your homepage.

What are Couple Coins? How are they used?

Couple Coins are our in-app currency.

• Getting Coins: The "AI Matchmaker" plans come with 2,000 Couple Coins per month. You can also purchase additional bundles (e.g., 500 Coins for $5.00).
• Using Coins: Currently, Couple Coins are used during our Couple Online Events to enhance your experience. You can use them for things like:
  • Requesting a specific date with someone who catches your eye.
  • Accessing premium icebreakers during speed dates.
  • Sending virtual gifts to your dates.
  • Revealing the decision of your date early.

Will my matches receive my contact info?

Couple does not share your personal contact information. When you mutually "Couple" or "Connect" with someone from an event, or when you connect with an AI-suggested match, you can message each other directly on the Couple platform. From there, you can decide if and when you want to share any further contact information.

Where can I find tech support during an event or for my account?

If you encounter technical issues:

• Self-Help: Often, issues can be resolved by:
  • Rebooting your computer.
  • Using a Chrome browser (and ensuring it's updated).
  • Opening Couple in an incognito tab.
• Direct Support: You can email support@team.couple.com or call 800-606-7100 for assistance.

How can I report a problem with a user?

• During an Event: If you have an issue with a user during a date, you can use the option to leave the date and follow the on-screen prompts to report them.
• After an Event: If you need to report a problem after an event, please email us at support@team.couple.com with the details.

Are payments for Couple plans or tickets refundable?

Couple plans and event tickets are non-refundable. Your payment grants you access to the features of your chosen plan for the specified period, or to the specific event, including our AI matchmaking services (depending on the plan), curated speed dates, interactive games, live entertainment, and our community platform. While we strive to facilitate meaningful connections, we can't guarantee specific outcomes like a mutual match at every event.
